British Master’s degree

The postgraduate course in the UK takes only one year, which is different from China and the United States. In this year, students mainly write essays and do research projects, and less classroom teaching. The requirement to enter the postgraduate program is that you have already obtained a bachelor's degree, and it is very helpful if you have relevant work experience for a while. There are more than 140 universities and colleges in the UK that offer high-quality learning environments and a variety of professional courses, and award internationally recognised diplomas.
The UK is a renowned education powerhouse and the UK's master's degree is widely recognised in all regions of the world. Among them, the United States, European countries, the Commonwealth countries headed by Australia and Canada, and even Hong Kong.

Sorting classes
There are two types of postgraduate courses in the UK, Taught Course and Research Degrees.
The first category: Taught Course
There are two main types of postgraduate courses: one is a master's degree program, usually for 12 months. Including classroom lectures, panel discussions, exams and continuity assessments, dissertations, etc.
The other is a postgraduate diploma or certificate program, usually for a period of 9 months, including the content of the master's program, but does not include the final paper. Some diplomas can be converted to a master's degree at the end of the course.
Second category: Research Degrees
Research-based courses are divided into research master's degrees and doctoral degrees.
Research-based programs offer the best opportunities for students who want to develop their majors and interests. Students usually select research topics and conduct research under the guidance of a mentor. Therefore, independent research skills are very important for students studying for research courses.

Course characteristics
The compact curriculum and short academic system are the reasons why these courses are generally welcomed. The duration of the academic system is generally 1-2 years, of which the taught master's degree is generally one year. The close connection between students and mentors is another unique advantage of graduate education in the UK. Through small class sizes, coaching groups, discussion groups, and a variety of teaching methods, English education gives each student the full support of the instructor to check their progress in a timely manner and discuss relevant learning issues with the instructor. At the same time, all postgraduate courses in the UK require students to do a lot of work on their own.
In the case of taught courses, graduate tutors and lecturers only teach the framework of the course in the classroom, and students can choose the areas of interest in the framework for research.
The main teaching method of the research-based curriculum is to complete the original research under the guidance of the academic. The completion of the graduation thesis using this research is an important part of the curriculum.
